You’ll find decent discounts on big games in the Epic Games Store summer sale, including Borderlands 3, Control and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
If you’re one of those pragmatic people who very quickly got over the “but it’s a second launcher on my desktop!” furore, then you’ve been reaping the benefits. Aside from the free games every week, which have included some absolute crackers, there have been big sales, too.
The Epic Games Store sales haven’t always been without their issues, either. Some developers and publishers took issue with Epic’s blanket voucher system, for instance, for devaluing their full-priced games. But on the whole, the consumer benefits from competition in the market, and the consumer definitely benefits from the Epic Games Store.
There’s a combination of recent big hitters, charming indies and some all-time classics in the Epic Games Store summer sale. There is, of course, a good chance you might have picked up a bunch of these games for free when Epic has given them away as freebies, but if you didn’t, then there are some solid discounts all round.
