“What is Kirby?” Asks the launch trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Which is a good question, to be fair. We don’t know that anyone’s ever explained exactly what Kirby is.
He’s small and round, like a little marshmallow, but also, he’s impossibly stretchy? He’s sort of like a mimic, but he has to eat things first, in order to mimic their properties. And to do that, he just pops open his mouth and shoves the whole thing in? He’s like a cross between a beach ball and a giant python. (It’s the best we can come up with, sorry.)
It’s best not to think about it for too long. Down that road, madness lies. Even Nintendo itself can’t really explain what Kirby is, based on the Kirby and the Forgotten Land launch trailer
Game looks great though, doesn’t it? Kirby and the Forgotten Land is out now and a free demo is available from the Nintendo eShop.
