Dark Light

A Monster’s Expedition, The Falconeer, and retro Picross headline this week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch eShop releases.

Unlike the Xbox, where the Apex Legends expansion is the biggest release this week, the Nintendo eShop is better stocked – even if some of the best games have been released elsewhere before.

A Monster’s Expedition (through curious exhibitions) is a lovely slice of gentle puzzling from Alan Hazelden, better known as Draknek. It’s from the developer behind Sokobond, Cosmic Express, and A Good Snowman is Hard to Build; that is proper indie puzzle pedigree.

Even better, the Switch release of A Monster’s Expedition brings with it a chunk of new levels. These will be available on other platforms, too, but it’s always nice to have an inventive to double-dip on Switch.

Speaking of ports you might want to double-dip on, The Falconer: Warrior Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch. The Falconeer was incredibly well-received and with good reason – we probably don’t need to sell you on that one.

Our favourite, though? Picross S: Sega Mega Drive & Mark III Edition – you can’t beat a classic slice of Picross.

Here is the complete list of upcoming Switch games. We’ll update this post throughout the week with any late additions.
