GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL. Or something.
After winning ‘Best Sports Game’ award at gamescom, Konami have today released a PES 2016 playable demo onto all digital download formats. And when they say ‘all’ they mean all the ones the full PES 2016 game will be released onto – that’s PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One – sorry Wii U fans!
Here’s the word from Konami on which teams will be available in the PES 2016 playable demo:
The playable demo offers single matches of between 6-10-minute duration, and a team roster that includes European giants Juventus, AS Roma, Bayern Munich, the South American pairing of Corinthians and Palmeiras plus the Brazilian and French national sides. Each team has been selected to show the individuality of playing styles and prowess of each team, perfectly illustrating the Team and Player ID systems that elevate PES 2016 to new levels of realism.
Apparently PES 2016 will also include three times the animations of its predecessor, and realistic effects like blades of grass flying into the air when the ball is kicked. I don’t know about you, but I can’t say that I’ve ever noticed infinitesimally small foliage has been lacking before, but there you go.
There’s no indication in the press release of how long the PES 2016 playable demo will be available for, but the real deal will be released on September 18, 2015.
You could also pick up last year’s PES 2015 for half the price – it is lacking flying grass, though…
