483 PS3 games are going to be joined by their younger, cooler siblings.

Some good news over on the PlayStation US Blog today: the PlayStation Now service is going to have the ability to stream select PS4 games soon.

The PlayStation Now service – Sony’s sort-of attempt at Netflix for gaming, that has hitherto only carried games from the previous-gen PS3 console – has been available for a while now, and has enabled subscribers to play classics like The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption on their PS4 or PC, without having to purchase the games directly. Yes, you do need to subscribe to said streaming service which also costs money, but if you play through a lot of games then (much like Netflix) there’s a real opportunity to gorge like a feasting Tudor and get your money’s worth at the metaphorical buffet.

What PlayStation Now PS4 games are going to be available, then? We have no idea at this point.

When will PlayStation Now PS4 games be available to play? We don’t know that, either, but we do know that Sony will be sending out trial invites to existing PlayStation Now subscribers. Specifically, “If you’re an active PS Now subscriber, keep an eye on your email in case you get an invitation.”

Watch this space for updates on when the new games become available, and what interesting curios make it onto the subscription service.
