Quadrilateral Cowboy and Hyper Light Drifter were among the games honoured at the 2017 Independent Game Festival Awards.
Quadrilateral Cowboy was awarded the prestigious Seumas McNally Grand Prize at the 19th Independent Game Festival Awards, held at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The game also took home the award for Excellence in Design.
The annual awards, which were hosted by Fullbright’s Nina Freeman, also recognised the achievements of GoNNER and Ladykiller in a Bind. The Audience Award went to Hyper Light Drifter, which also picked up the gong for Excellence in Visual Arts.
The Nuovo Award – which celebrates experimental game design – was given to David Kanaga’s Oiκοςpiel, Book I.
