Pick up Moonlighter, Frostpunk, This War of Mine and more in the rather generous Humble 11 Bit Studios publisher sale.
11 Bit Studios is going through something of a golden period at the moment. Spurred on by the critically acclaimed – and very unsettling – This War of Mine, they’ve been delivering a quiet revolution of smart, focused indie games.
In addition to expansions for This War of Mine, 11 Bit Studios has also developed and published Frostpunk, a frigid, post-apocalyptic city builder that has sold like
hot cold cakes.
11 Bit Studios isn’t doing all the heavy lifting, however. It has also published games from other indie developers, including Pixel Crow’s classic adventure game, Beat Cop, and Digital Sun’s Moonlighter, an action RPG that mashes up shopkeeping and SNES-era Zelda gameplay. Moonlighter has already sold half a million copies and secured a Nintendo Switch release, so that’s another success story for 11 Bit Studios.
To celebrate its success – maybe, we’re speculating, but it’s a nice narrative, isn’t it? – Humble is hosting an 11 Bit Studios publisher sale. In it, you’ll get up to 85% off games from 11 Bit’s catalogue, including 40% off Frostpunk and Moonlighter, 67% off Beat Cop, and 70% off the Humble Deluxe Edition of This War of Mine.
The Humble 11 Bit Studios publisher sale is on now, and runs through until Thursday, May 2nd, at 10am Pacific (that’s 6pm BST on the same day). And as is always the case with things bought from Humble, your purchases will earn money for worthwhile good causes.
We may receive a small commission for purchases made from online stores.
We have a favour to ask
Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
