The folks at Bethesda Softworks are never one to miss up on a PR opportunity, though this seems like a slightly bizarre one.
They’ve teamed up with Carslberg – Danish purveyors of the low-strength lager of the same name – to bring to the world a Fallout beer, in honour of the release of Fallout 4. And the Fallout beer actually looks pretty cool, complete with the classic lightning-bolt logo, mushroom cloud motif, and all-seeing Vault Tec eye logo on the neck label.
Here’s the details from the Fallout beer press release:
Fallout BEER is a 4% alcohol by volume (ABV) pilsner lager, with a refreshing zesty hoppy taste and a floral aroma, sold in a 330ml bottle format and sold only to customers aged 18 and over.
Ah. So it’s probably just regular old Carslberg in a Fallout beer skin, then? Well, I guess I’m just going to have to drink a dozen of them to find out. Pick up your Fallout beer from Amazon now.
Boggles the mind why they didn’t team up with a certain cola manufacturer though, for a more universally saleable and canonically appropriate Fallout-based beverage…
Fallout 4 is out on November 10. Pre-order it from Amazon now!
