WWE 2K22 is slated to release in 2022, quelle surprise!

WWE 2K22, the annual wrestling game from 2K Games, is already putting its roster together for the next outing.

Revealed during WWE’s Summer Slam 2021 event – that’s actual wrestling, not a video game tournament or stream or something – we got our first glimpse at WWE 2K22 gameplay, and a look at some of the game’s wrestler roster.

The WWE 2K22 wrestlers shown off in gameplay footage so far includes:

  • Rey Mysterio
  • Roman Reigns
  • Goldberg
  • Bayley
  • Bobby Lashley
  • Drew McIntyre
  • The Miz
  • Sheamus
  • Shinsuke Nakamura
  • Rhea Ripley
  • Finn Bálor
  • Ricochet
  • Kane

Who are, we’re reliably informed, all actual people. No, they’re not pulling our chain. We’re as surprised as anyone!

There was also a glimpse of Edge – again, an actual wrestler, not the bloke from U2 – but we only saw him in screenshot form. We’d pay good money to see actual wrestlers beat up U2, mind.

We also found out the release window for WWE 2K22: it’s currently slated for March 2022.

Expect to see more about the game during its “full reveal” in January 2022.
