Our review is still in the works, but in the meantime, here are the Yooka-Laylee system requirements for PC, Linux and Mac.
We’re yet to address the question of whether you should play Yooka-Laylee. The review code came through while I was on holiday and nobody else was available, so it had to wait until I got back. Yes, we missed the embargo as a result, but I want to make sure its given a fair shake before casting judgement. You can expect to see a review before the game releases on April 11, 2017.
But the question of whether you can play Yooka-Laylee? I can answer that for you right now.

There are three slightly unusual things to note about those system requirements:
- Those are only the minimum requirements. As far as we know, Playtonic and Team17 haven’t published any recommended specs. Make of that what you will.
- No, they’re not very high, are they? When the minimum required card is a GT 640 you might even be able get away with a modern integrated graphics solution (like an Intel HD 620) but of course, your mileage may vary.
- Yes, it really does say “A controller is STRONGLY recommended” on each individual set of system requirements, and ‘strongly’ is capitalised in all cases.
But then, there’s nothing all that usual about Yooka-Laylee, is there?
