Nintendo eShop releases for 12th January 2017

The Nintendo eShop gets just two new releases in another quiet week for the 3DS and Wii U.

There are just two games coming to the Nintendo eShop this week, both for the Nintendo 3DS. Mercenaries Saga 3 is third game in the, one assumes, popular tactical RPG series. It’s joined by Shift DX, a compilation that collects over a 100 levels from the first two Shift puzzle games.

So, not much to get excited about and we have to assume it’s going to be like this from now until March. With the full Switch reveal only a few days away both consumer and developer attention is firmly focused on Nintendo’s new console.

The upside is that prices are now being slashed on a number of older eShop games. If you’ve managed to somehow avoid gems like Thomas Was Alone, Severed, OlliOlli, Edge and Swords and Soldiers, now’s your chance to get them cheap.
