Details of the 2018 Pokémon Championship Series have been announced.

The world-wide Championship Series covers both the Pokémon video game series and TCG, and offers a number of events for players of all ages and skill levels. In addition to the four big International Championship tournaments, a range of smaller local events are also available. Successful participants in each Championship Series season can earn an invitation the annual Pokémon World Championships

The European International Championships have been confirmed as taking place at ExCeL centre in London, from 17th –19th November 2017.


Play! Pokémon Championship Series events open to all players:

  • League Challenge (TCG only)
  • League Cup (TCG only)
  • Premier Challenge (Video game only)
  • Midseason Showdown (Video game only)
  • Pokémon Regional Championships
  • Pokémon International Championships

You can find full details for each event type – and its rules – on the Pokémon website. And you can look up your nearest local event using the Pokémon event locator. Most local tournaments don’t require advance registration, just turn up with an eligible Pokémon TCG deck or video game, and don’t forget your Nintendo 3DS.
