Bandai Namco celebrates the second anniversary of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown with a free content update.

Publisher Bandai Namco has announced that acclaimed aerial action game Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has sold more than 2.5 million units in the two years since its release. It’s an impressive performance for a game that most critics agree is a return to form for the series.

To celebrate Ace Combat 7‘s second birthday, and the Ace Combat franchise’s 25th anniversary, a free DLC update is launching for the game today.

The update lets players customise their planes with ten new skins and ten new emblems, many of which are callbacks to previous games in the series. One skin – X-02S Glowing – is a nod to a now-patched glitch that caused the F/A-18F Super Hornet to glow.

Here’s the full list of free downloadable content.
