Being an independent publisher is a lot like being a talent scout. You’re not responsible for developing the games, but you are responsible for stocking your roster with as many brilliant games as possible.

And right now? There are few publishers better at it than Annapurna Interactive. Every game the publisher picks up turns to gold at the moment.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to stock up on the publisher’s back catalogue, now’s your chance. We’re not sure what prompted it, but there’s currently an Annapurna Interactive publisher sale on the Nintendo eShop, including every game the publisher has released on the Nintendo Switch thus far.

Here’s every game included in the Annapurna Interactive Nintendo Switch sale:

  • Ashen
  • Donut County
  • Florence
  • Gorogoa
  • Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition
  • Sayonara Wild Hearts
  • Telling Lies
  • What Remains of Edith Finch

Obviously Telling Lies is the standout item in that list. Sam Barlow’s interactive fiction has only been out a few days and has been released to massive critical acclaim. Other highlights include Kentucky Route Zero, What Remains of Edith Finch, Gorogoa and Florence.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
