Electronic Arts confirm details of the Battlefield 1 open beta.

The Battlefield 1 Open Beta will begin on Wednesday 31st August, 2016 on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. And players who sign up as a Battlefield Insider before 21st August will be eligible for early access.

The Open Beta will feature two popular modes – Conquest and Rush – both taking place on the new Sinai Desert map. Supporting up to 64 players, the Sinai Desert map features a controllable Armoured Train behemoth, horses and three Elite Classes – Sentry, Flame Trooper and Tank Hunter.

Early footage of the beta gameplay will be broadcast from 12p.m. on 16th August on the Battlefield Twitch channel.  Attendees at this week’s Gamescom expo in Cologne can also get an early look, with the opportunity to see the game played live by two teams of 32 players – each made up of Battlefield YouTube and Twitch personalities.

Battlefield 1 will be released on 21st October, 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC – via Origin. Impatient  consumers can pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition and start playing three days early on 18th October.

In addition, EA Access and Origin Access members can try the game before it’s released as part of a Play First Trial which begins on 13th October, on Xbox One and PC.
