Batgirl: A Matter of Family story content coming on 14th July.
Warner Bros. have announced the first story driven DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight.
Batgirl: A Matter of Family is set prior to the events of the main game and will allow players to assume the role of Batgirl for the first time in the series. Presumably this means the Batgirl in question is one Barbara Gordon, then, rather than the original “Bat-Girl” Betty Kane. The hyphen is important, do keep up.
The story add-on content includes an all-new location with multiple missions, side quests and a new hacking feature to progress through the world and solve puzzles. Dual Play functionality also returns with Robin on hand to help with some dynamic take-down manoeuvres.
Batgirl: A Matter of Family will be available 14th July for Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass owners or separately on 21st July for £5.79 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
With the PC version of the game still in limbo (following a raft of technical issues upon release) it’s perhaps reasonable that there’s no word on a date for Batgirl: A Matter of Family on PC yet.
PC gamers may however feel understandably aggrieved if they bought a season pass and can’t get their hands on this DLC, though, especially given all the other issues they’ve been having. They really can’t catch a break with Batman: Arkham Knight.
