The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ EU edition

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ finally gets a confirmed EU release date.

Headup Games have confirmed that The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will come to Nintendo Switch in Europe on September 7, 2017. We say finally in jest, of course. It comes when it’s ready, but we’re pleased nonetheless.

The even better news is that the European retail edition will include extra content from the US version that envious fans have been politely asking for. This includes two sticker sheets, as well as the beautifully designed, retro-style game manual.

You probably all know about The Binding of Isaac by now. The imaginative – and imaginatively repulsive – Rogue-like RPG was first released 2011. Its Rebirth update arrived three years later, and was ported to just about every platform under the sun.

As with many indie titles, the Switch feels like the perfect platform for The Binding of Isaac, as it’s the perfect game to play on the go. The Afterbirth edition of the game includes over 500 items and weapons, 13 playable characters, 50 bosses and 20 different endings. The Switch version also comes complete with online leader-boards, daily runs, and over 30 challenge modes.

The US version of the game was released two weeks after the Nintendo Switch hit stores in March 2017.
