Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order announce Green Cities, a new expansion for popular city-builder Cities: Skylines.

The Green Cities add-on will allow mayors to rid their creations of that ever-present brown stain, and make pollution a thing of the past with a range of all new sustainable buildings and items.

The expansion adds 350 new assets to the core game, including eco-friendly buildings, organics stores, and electric vehicles. New in-game services are also included, as well as revisions to the noise and environmental pollution models.

As the new Green Cities trailer shows, it should make for an altogether more beautiful environment for your Cims to live in.

Green Cities will also add new scenarios, environmental policy options, and a new monument. In line with previous expansions, Paradox will be releasing some content to the base game free of charge. So look forward to electric cars, road modding, new parks, changes to noise pollution, and additional trees types to plant.

Green Cities will be released on Windows, MacOS, and Linux PCs later in 2017, priced $12.99. Cities: Skyline is also now available on console, but as yet there’s no word on when the expansion might come to PS4 or Xbox One.

Look out for our review of the PlayStation 4 version of Cities: Skylines soon.
