Paradox Interactive has announced that the Xbox One edition of Cities: Skylines will launch worldwide on April 21, 2017.
Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition has been specifically optimised for controller play with the assistance of Australian studio, Tantalus Media. The release includes the base game and its first expansion, the nightlife-focused, After Dark.
The game has been a huge success since it’s release two years ago, with developer Colossal Order recently celebrating sales of over 3.5 million copies worldwide. Assuming the console-centric controls are well implemented, the upcoming Xbox One release should see it reach an even larger audience.
Taking on the role of mayor, the game sees you plan and balance the wellbeing of a city and its citizens, controlling everything from education and healthcare, to public safety and tourism. If you haven’t had a chance to experience the game, you can check it out at the Paradox Interactive booth at EGX Rezzed in London.
Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition will retail for $39.99 / £34,99 / €39.99.
