Pinball FX3 - Classic Universal Monsters

Monster Bash and Creature from the Black Lagoon are coming to Pinball FX3 in time for Halloween.

Zen Studios has announced a new pack of pinball tables based on some classic Universal creature features. The Universal Monsters Pack includes the fan-favourites, Monster Bash and Creature from the Black Lagoon. They will be released as paid DLC for Pinball FX3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on October 29, 2019.

Mobile players on iOS and Android can download the tables to the Williams Pinball app.

Monster Bash is based on the Williams pinball classic first released in 1998. It features a cavalcade of famous monsters including Gill-Man from Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Wolfman, Frankenstein’s monster, the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula and the Mummy. The table was originally part of Stern’s The Pinball Arcade until the rights expired last year.

Gill-Man is the star of the show in the digital adaptation of Midway’s 1992 table, Creature from the Black Lagoon. This all-time great was designed by pinball wizard, John “Dr. Flash” Trudeau.

Both tables are can be played as classic simulations or in remastered form with new features. Based on Zen’s previous work, the updated versions should be faithful to the originals with a little modern magic sprinkled on top. The new pack also features Zen’s updated flipper physics system.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
