The first Night City Wire live stream from CD Projekt Red reveales a new trailer and showcases new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay.

Today’s broadcast led with the announcement of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, a new anime from Studio Trigger, creators of Little Witch Academia. It’s in production now and coming to Netflix in 2022.

The stream also featured in-depth look at Cyberpunk 2077’s Braindance gameplay mechanic. If you find surveillance modes entertaining, this one is for you. Players can relive the actions and memories of other characters. You can speed things up to get to the good bits, or rewind the interactive footage to make sure you don’t miss the obvious clues delivered by NPCs. The mode will apparently allow players to explore story-related themes like childhood trauma, religion, and other philosophical ideas.

You can watch the whole stream again on the studio’s Twitch channel.

Slightly more interesting is the new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, which showcases a mission from the game’s prologue. It looks every bit the sci-fi Saints Row we’ve been waiting for.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 19, 2020. It’s also playable on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 at launch, with a full next-gen upgrade to follow at a later date.

CD Projekt Red will broadcast the second Night City Wire stream next month.
