Devolver Digital returns to E3 with a picnic in the parking lot.

Devolver Digital’s E3 shenanigans have become legendary, with their parking lot events now an established part of the E3 experience, even if unofficially so.

This year the publisher will be hosting an even bigger event in the shape of the Indie Picnic, a free indie games showcase featuring a host of new games to experience, plus music, food, and drinks to enjoy.

The Indie Picnic will be free to all E3 2017 badge holders, and will be located in the parking lot right across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Centre’s South Hall. The picnic will be open each day between 11am – 7pm, from June 13 – 15, 2017.

The Devolver Public Access area will include a hand-selected lineup of indie game demos from Devolver Digital, as well as games from other indie movements including, the Indie MEGABOOTH, X-Split, and Gambitious. There will also be an indie arcade presented by Polycade, and a selection of traditional carnival games. The festival-like atmosphere should once again make the event a refreshing change from the chaos of E3 itself.

Mike Wilson, co-founder of Devolver Digital, said:

“This is the week the entire industry and fans everywhere celebrate video games as entertainment and art with numerous events now happening across Los Angeles. Indie Picnic is our way of giving back to the fans and celebrating a mutual love for games and art.”

If you’re attending E3, look out for Devolver Digital’s legendary balloon. If not, you can watch a livestream of the event via the official Devolver Digital Twitch Channel.
