The Elder Scrolls Online extended Free Play Weekend begins today on PlayStation 4, PC and Mac.

In fact, the PlayStation 4 Free Play Weekend has already started. A PlayStation Plus subscription isn’t required but you will need to find 73GB of hard drive space to store the game. So good luck with that, brave adventurer.

The PC and Mac Free Play Weekend opens on Steam from 6PM GMT/1PM EST  today – and fortunately you can pre-load the game in advance. The free play period runs through to Sunday, 20th November.

The Xbox One will receive its own Free Play Weekend soon and Bethesda have promised more details shortly.

The Elder Scrolls Online Free Play Weekend includes:

  • No Restrictions: Full access to the complete The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game
  • Free Crowns: 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Store on costumes, pets, scrolls, and other trinkets
  • Progress Retention: Any characters created, Crown Packs purchased, items bought, and all game progress, will carry over if the player purchases the game
  • Trip of a Lifetime promotion: Free Play Weekend participants will also qualify to enter the Trip of a Lifetime Giveaway. The competition offers the chance to win one of five trips to locations around the world. Find out more at the official Giveaway site.

Until the 24th November Bethesda will also offer discounts on Crown Packs and all versions of the main game. The discounts apply to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game and The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition, which includes four DLC packs: Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood. There will also be a global sale on Steam until 28th November, 2016.

PlayStation 4 players can begin the hefty download for The Elder Scrolls Online from the PlayStation Store. PC and Mac players should head over to Steam.
