Zachtronics are bringing acclaimed visual novel Eliza to Nintendo Switch this week.

Games from Zachtronics are always worth a look, and none more so than Eliza, the visual novel first released on PC and Mac in August. The developer has announced via Twitter that Eliza will come to Nintendo Switch on October 10, 2019. Yep, that’s this week.

Eliza tells the story of an advanced AI counselling program, focusing on the people who use it and the team of developers who created it. It’s a wide-ranging tale that explores the effects of big-data and the emotional impact of the technology humanity creates. It’s also a ripping yarn. And, as is par for the course with games from Zachtronics, there’s in-game Kabufuda Solitaire to noodle around with.

Take a look at the game’s release trailer.

This week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch releases is already 40 games long but Eliza is definitely another recommendation to add to the playlist.

Eliza will be available via the Nintendo eShop and priced at $14.99. It is available now on PC, Mac and Linux from the usual digital stores, including Steam and the Humble store.

We may receive a small commission on purchases made from online stores.
