Farming Simulator 17 opens up its garage in a brand new trailer

Dark Light

With each and every trailer Farming Simulator 17 gets bigger and bigger.

So big in fact, that you’ll need a massive garage to hold each of the game’s 250 faithfully reproduced vehicles. Today’s new ‘Garage Trailer’ gives a brief tour of Farming Simulator 17‘s huge range of harvesters, trucks and tractors, which come from more than 75 different manufacturers.

The partnership between the game’s developers, GIANTS, and brands such as Challenger, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra, sees every vehicle’s interior and exterior beautifully recreated. It really is a Forza for farmers.

GIANTS have also confirmed that vehicles can be customised to some degree. Wheels and other pieces of equipment can be adapted to carry out specific activities, such as equipping a front loader to handle bales of hay. You can also change the paint job on some vehicles and each ride will have access to a radio featuring stations covering a selection of country, rock, and pop artists.

Farming Simulator 17 will also provide players with the option to rent vehicles and tools, should there be a specific requirement to use a machine that’s too expensive to buy. It’s just like The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, but with ploughs.

Joking aside, Farming Simulator 17‘s feature-set is truly impressive and if the game was in any other genre it would surely be receiving more attention. In addition to the features announced today the game includes a huge open world, a multitude of crop types, various livestock options, forestry, produce trading and transport options that includes trucks, trailers and trains. Add to that a number of online multiplayer modes and community-created mods and you have a game that is the equal in scope to many Triple-A titles.

Farming Simulator 17 will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 25, 2016
