Classic Square Enix RPGs including Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and the original Final Fantasy are half-price until 4th January, 2017.
Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, in a way, yes it is. The Square Enix holiday sale only applies to the mobile editions of these classic games that are available on Google Play, and the Apple and Amazon app stores.
There are a few bargains to be found but bear in mind that these mobile ports were not particularly cheap to start with. We’ve seen Nintendo take a lot of flack recently for the pricing model of Super Mario Run but Square Enix have long been positioning their enviable library of RPGs games at a premium price, with some titles reaching an eye-watering £15.99.
Still, maybe you can’t put a price on quality and some of these games are the finest of their kind, even on mobile. Here’s the full list of sale titles and their discounted prices.
