Ubisoft announces the first For Honor Hero Series, with $10,000 available in cash prizes.

The For Honor Hero Series sees Ubisoft partner with ESL for an event beginning this weekend in Europe, and the United States. Following a series of weekly competitions, 16 of the best For Honor players will be selected to participate in the live finals, to be held in California on August 12th, 2017. There is $10,000 in cash prizes up for grabs.

The Hero Series begins with an open call for players to join weekly online 1v1 Duel tournaments on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Over a period of four weeks from July 8, registered players will earn points based on their rankings following each tournament. The best players from each platform will then be selected – based on their overall tournament standings – and invited to battle at the Live Finals event, where a champion for each platform will be crowned.

Sean Charles, VP of publisher and developer relations at ESL, said:

“At ESL we are committed to growing the esports landscape and For Honor’s competitive ecosystem has been something we’ve all been looking forward to. With the For Honor Hero Series and the addition of ranked mode, there is a lot in store for future For Honor players.”

The event finals will be broadcast live on For Honor‘s Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube channels.

In addition, Ubisoft is also running a shoutcast competition to find a community member to join the analyst desk at the Live Finals. To get involved in both competiions, head over to the tournament’s official website.
