Digital Extremes’ popular free-to-play shooter, Warframe, is getting its next big expansion this week. Here’s what’s included.

Players of Warframe on Steam can look forward to a whole new world to explore this week, as the new open-world landscape of Fortuna comes to the game. The expansion also includes new free gameplay content, and activities to enjoy such as hunting, mining, and fishing.

Most fans will be eagerly awaiting the chance to try out the Bondi K-Drive hover board, Warframe‘s new means of traversal. The K-Drive can be used to explore Fortuna using grabs, spins, as rails, as well as being useful in combat. As with the game’s previous expansion, Plains of Eidolon, an Archwing is also available to give players a bird’s-eye view.

Here’s a new trailer to give a taste of what’s in store.

The expansion also includes a new faction with an extensive backstory to uncover: the cyborg Solaris United. Other additions includesa new combat and enemy alert system, new breeds of animals that can be tracked and hunted, and new resources to gather.

The headline act is a brand new Warframe, the powerful Garuda Warframe. Garuda features a mix of health-based abilities to use against enemies that will leave you low on health, but with enhanced damage potential.

At the time of writing an exact release date for Fortuna on PC has not been confirmed, nor is there news of when the expansion will come to PS4 and Xbox One. Nintendo Switch players can look forward to a port of Warframe on November, 20, 2018.
