Founder Ian Stewart, Shaun Hollingworth, Peter Harrap, Tony Crowther and musician Ben Daglish are all confirmed and will take part in a presentation, Q&A and signing session.
Gremlin Graphics was founded in 1984 by Ian Stewart and the company created many iconic 8 bit games such as the Monty Mole series, Bounder and Thing on a Spring as well as later titles such as Lotus Esprit, Zool and the Actua Sports titles. There will be a presentation on the history of Gremlin Graphics followed by a public Q&A session afterwards.
Show organiser Andy Brown said “We are thrilled to have so many of the original Gremlins at Play Blackpool this year. Gremlin Graphics has played a pivotal role in the formation of the UK video games industry and the company left behind an incredible legacy.”
“I am sure that the Q&A session will be lively and will be well attended by the show attendees and also by many of the indie developers exhibiting at Play Blackpool who will have been influenced and inspired by Gremlin Graphics.”
Play Blackpool is taking place on the 3-4 May at the Norbreck Exhibition Centre in Blackpool. The show will feature an arcade and retro zone, indie developers, tournaments, retailers, cosplay plus additional talks and features.
