Harvest Moon: One World Collector’s Edition release date confirmed

Dark Light

Harvest Moon: One World is coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in March, and it’s also getting a swanky Collector’s Edition.

Natsume has confirmed that the latest game the increasingly frequent Harvest Moon series will get a Collector’s Edition when it is released on March 2, 2021.

Harvest Moon: One World will be available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, with the limited-run collector’s edition produced, appropriately enough, by Limited Run Games. An Xbox version of the game also in development.

The franchise’s latest entry takes players on a trip to five different environments, including a desert, an ice-capped mountain, and a volcano. It’s a big adventure to solve a big problem. As the game’s press release succinctly puts it:

“Can you imagine a world without cabbage, tomatoes, or even carrots? Believe it or not, that’s the world you’ll find yourself in at the beginning of Harvest Moon: One World, as the Harvest Goddess, the queen of crops herself, has vanished…”

Sounds pretty bad, right? Fortunately, the world can be saved by a familiar combination of romance, farming, and animal husbandry.

If you want to pick up the region-free collector’s edition – which is available to pre-order from the Limited Run Games website – here’s what you’ll get:

Harvest Moon: One World Collector’s Edition contents

  • A copy of the game on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4
  • A five-inch high chicken plush
  • A magnetic musical diorama set that includes five interchangeable characters and plays the musical track, Spring on the Beach.

It’s the chicken that convinced us.

Harvest Moon: One World Collectors Edition

Speaking about the release, Hiro Maekawa, president and CEO of Natsume, says:

“Hardcore Harvest Moon fans will not want to miss out on the Harvest Moon: One World Collector’s Edition. Players have been collecting our limited edition plushies for many years, and it’s always fun for us to select and design the plushie for each game. The chicken plushie is an iconic addition for collectors and the music diorama is our special way of celebrating the new feature of a portable farm in Harvest Moon: One World.”
