Sumthing Else Music Works release Inon Zur’s exhilarating score for Eagle Flight.

The success of Ubisoft’s recent VR flight simulation is in no small part due to its sound design. The game’s audio compliments the immersive visuals creating a sense of speed and, most importantly, that elusive feeling of presence.

Eagle Flight’s score is composed by three-time BAFTA-nominated composer, Inon Zur. The soundtrack evokes his earlier work for the Prince of Persia series, and is just as memorable. The uplifting orchestral melodies combine with the enchanting voices of Aeralie Brighton and Mimi Page to great effect.

Benedicte Ouimet, music supervisor at Ubisoft, said:

“Inon’s immense creative energy is ever-present in this score. He captures the thrill of flying and the awe of our poetic Paris with brio. Whether players soar or dive, chase or glide, Inon’s music will carry players through this beautiful VR adventure.”

He’s not wrong.

The soundtrack is now available to download from the Sumthing website and will be released on old fashioned compact disc format on the 18th November. If you want to try before you buy, you can listen to a 36 minute preview on YouTube.

Eagle Flight is available now on Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR and will come to HTC Vive on 20 December, 2016.
