Electronic Arts announce that the four EA Sports FIFA 17 ambassadors will go head-to-head in the official FIFA 17 Global Cover Vote.
What does this mean? Well, it means you can vote on who you would like to see adorn the cover of the FIFA 17. It’s the biggest vote since Brexit.
This year’s ambassadors are James Rodriguez of Real Madrid C.F., Anthony Martial of Manchester United, Eden Hazard of Chelsea FC, and Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund.
Nick Channon, Senior Producer for EA SPORTS FIFA said:
“James, Martial, Hazard, and Reus represent exciting, attacking football and epitomize the innovative play that fans can expect in FIFA 17. We’re excited to see fans rally around their favorite players and see who they select as the cover star for the franchise, and the footballer who will represent FIFA 17 globally.”
How to vote
Voting is open now on the FIFA Cover Vote Website and runs to through 19th July at 11:59pm PT. You can vote online once per day for your favourite player and earn extra votes by utilizing the auto-share feature with the hashtag #FIFA17CoverReward. You can also show your ‘support’ by tweeting with one of the following hastags: #FIFA17Hazard, #FIFA17James, #FIFA17Martial or #FIFA17Reus.
The winner will be revealed in July.
But seriously, why would you even bother? If you have a good reason for indulging in such a colossal waste of time and energy, let us know in the comments below.
We have a favour to ask
Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
