Level-5 to release “basically all” future main games on Nintendo Switch

Dark Light

Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino has said that all future main games from the company will be released for the Nintendo Switch.

In an interview with Nikkei Trendy, Hino said, “Basically, in the future our main titles will all be released on Nintendo Switch. The idea is that what we have created for 3DS will move over to Switch.”

This is a pretty huge get for the Switch, with series like Yo-Kai Watch, Professor Layton, and Ni No Kuni available to make an appearance on the console.

No specific announcement was made with regard to exactly what games will be releases, or when, but Level-5’s first Switch game, The Snack World: Trejarers Gold, will release on April 12th in Japan.

In other Level-5 news, Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom released earlier this month, and it was pretty good. Check out our review here.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Level-5, and in order to mark the occasion, the studio is working a new project. In an interview with 4Gamer.net, Hino said, “We do have an idea. I’m not sure if we can call it an MMORPG or not, but [we’re planning] to make a big title on the same scale as one.”
