Wales Interactive has released a new trailer and gameplay details for Sker Ritual, the upcoming sequel to Maid of Sker.

Sker Ritual is the spiritual (no pun intended) follow-up to Maid of Sker, the stealth survival horror game set in a remote Welsh hotel. The 2020 release was a moody and often unsettling first-person adventure, rich in scares and tension.

Naturally, the follow-up is a co-op survival shooter.

Sker Ritual is once again set on Sker Island. This time, players face waves of enemies in a round-based survival FPS, played solo or with up to three other players. The game’s hordes will scale accordingly to provide the right amount of challenge.

Take a look at the game’s full reveal trailer.

Despite the genre shift, the game also features story content from writers with credits on Maid of Sker, Battlefield 1, and Total War: Rome II.

Sker Ritual is coming to PC via Steam this summer, with an Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 release set for later this year. For more on the game’s production, visit the official website for an ongoing series of developer diaries.
