Capcom announce the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
The new collection brings together the Blue Bomber’s four most recent side-scrolling adventures, along with a range of new gameplay features, and another comprehensive virtual museum.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 includes the 1995 SNES classic, Mega Man 7, the PlayStation and Saturn’s Mega Man 8, plus Mega Man 9 and 10, which saw the series return to its retro roots on Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
As with the first Mega Man Legacy Collection – which was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, and PC in 2015 – the package will include a number of new gameplay features. Challenge remixes will give long-time fans of the series a workout, whilst first-timers can take advantage of added armour, and checkpoint saves. Something I’ll need, that’s for certain.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will be available digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC from August 8th, 2017. Given the nature of the included games, it’s perhaps no surprise to see that the collection won’t make an appearance on the Nintendo 3DS. We hope, of course, that a Switch version will also be forthcoming at some point.
