Warner Bros. Games has announced that the open beta for free-to-play platform fighter MultiVersus will begin later this month.

Super Warner Bros. Ultimate, sorry, we mean MultiVersus, enters open beta on July 26.

Players can join across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC with full cross-play support and dedicated server-based rollback netcode.

The open beta will also have an early access period, starting July 19. Players who took part in the game’s closed alpha are eligible to join, along with combatants lucky enough to earn a code via upcoming Twitch Drops.

MultiVersus features a somewhat incoherent grab bag of Warner-related franchises, meaning that characters like Batman, Bugs Bunny, Shaggy and Velma can finally go head to head with the likes of The Iron Giant, Tom and Jerry, and Arya Stark.

The open beta will feature eight maps, including the Batcave, Adventure Time‘s Tree Fort, and Scooby Doo‘s Haunted Mansion.

More importantly, it will be an opportunity to put various game modes through their paces, including 2 vs. 2 team-based cooperative mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all, co-op vs. A.I. matches, and four-player local-matches.

In a newly released video, Tony Huynh, co-founder of developer Player First Games, gives an overview of the game’s roadmap.
