The latest trailer for upcoming Nintendo Switch racer, Gear.Club Unlimited 2, reveals more about the game’s improved performance shop and car customisation options.

Eden Games are really going for it with Gear.Club Unlimited 2, that’s for sure. In the absence of any meaningful competition on the Nintendo Switch, the studio is doubling down on making their upcoming racer as full-featured as possible.

The game’s graphical improvements are evident – assuming recently released screenshots and trailer footage is running natively on Switch – and there are a wealth of tweaks and updates promised on the road, and under the hood.

The game’s new trailer reveals more about Gear.Club Unlimited 2’s Performance Shop, a fully customisable garage that can be used by players to upgrade their vehicles.

There are seven workshops to tinker in, each having an effect on how the game’s roster of cars perform in a variety of environments.

A mechanical workshop handles the modification of engines and gearboxes to make cars more powerful. The body workshop can reduce the weight and improve the speed of vehicles. Car aerodynamics can be testing in a wind tunnel, and a tire workshop can improve brakes and grip.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 also features improved cosmetic and graphic workshops, enabling players to change colours and apply decals to their rides. Finally, the rally workshop can be used to ready cars for competition in rally mode.

It’s an ambitious game that will hopefully improve on its fun but flawed predecessor.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 will be released in physical and digital formats on December 4, 2018.
