Investigate the new Great Ace Attorney Chronicles gameplay trailer

Dark Light

The latest trailer from Capcom showcases some of the new gameplay mechanics featured in The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.

Capcom didn’t have much to show in last week’s E3 press conference aside from the promise of DLC for Resident Evil Village and a closer look at The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. The latter was an unexpected highlight.

The upcoming double pack includes two Victorian-era Phoenix Wright prequels previously only released in Japan. Frankly, they look like a complete joy. The visuals are immaculate, the cast of characters are as quirky as ever and the franchise’s offbeat brand of humour is evident throughout. Herlock Sholmes indeed.

The new trailer focuses on the game’s courtroom and investigation sequences – a hallmark of the franchise – as well as the new Summation Examination and Dance of Deduction mechanics.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will be released for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on July 27. Players who purchase the game by August 31 will also receive a ‘From the Vaults’ bonus which contains a collection of 54 art and music pieces, including previously unreleased content.
