New Nintendo Switch eShop releases

Here is this week’s roundup of new eShop releases for the Nintendo Switch and 3DS.

This week’s roster of new Switch releases is heavy on the puzzle games with a delightful indie gem, and a welcome update for a minor Nintendo classic to chew over.

Baba Is You first hit our radar a year ago when it was recognised for Excellence in Design and Best Student Game at the 2018 IGF awards. On the surface it’s a simple block-pushing game. The twist is that each block contains own rule that can be used to cause unexpected interactions and outcomes. It’s a truly inventive and captivating experience.

More puzzle shenanigans can be found in the new DLC pack for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The Special Episode includes 18 new challenges and five brand-new courses to explore. The cheap price of entry makes it a no-brainer for fans.

Other games worth a look include Golf Peaks, the small but perfectly formed golf puzzler from Afterburn, and Darjeeling’s mind-bending journey through the human body, Homo Machina.

Here’s the current lineup of this week’s new Nintendo eShop releases. We’ll keep this page updated with any last-minute additions.
