Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains at No.1 as a crop of new releases fail to break into the UK video games chart top 10.
Only last week we remarked that the fall gaming season was beginning. However, some of the games that heralded that change have underperformed in the latest physical software from GfK.
Project Cars 3 from Slightly Mad Studios pulls up at a lowly No.17. It’s a disappointing position for a well-reviewed entry into an acclaimed franchise.
InXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 3 didn’t make the top forty at all, and nor did the Nintendo Switch version of Jump Force or the (admittedly niche) Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions.
The only new game to sneak into the top ten is Madden NFL 21 at No.10. Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains at No.1, and PGA Tour 2K21 holds onto second place. From there on down its a roll call of familiar titles.
We can expect some changes next week, however, with the arrival of Marvel’s Avengers, NBA 2K21, and the Tony Hawk’s Pro Saker 1+ 2 remake. In the meantime, here’s the full GfK video games chart top ten.
