WWE 2K22 and new content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla headline the list of upcoming Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S games.
Next week’s lineup of new Xbox releases includes two franchises that took a year out.
WWE 2K22 will hopefully be a return to form for a series that floundered and flopped in recent years. Visual Concepts are on development duties, with a new game engine and smoother controls promised. Previews have been cautiously optimistic for this back to basics approach.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok isn’t a new game as such, but it will probably feel like it. Ubisoft says the most ambitious Assassin’s Creed expansion yet. It comes at a premium price but is content rich with over 40 hours of gameplay promised as Eivor receives the magical powers of Viking god Odin.
Other new Xbox games include the self-proclaimed “relaxploration” adventure Submerged: Hidden Depths, Young Souls, and RPG Time: The Legend of Wright. We’re also quite taken with Splash Cars, a simple but appealing game that channels our childhood love of Mirco Machines.
