The New York Video game Critics Circle reveal the nominees for the 7th Annual New York Game Awards.

The video game awards season continues with today’s announcement of the nominees for the annual New York Game Awards. The awards  – which are run by the New York Video game Critics Circle – will be held at Manhattan’s Abrons Playhouse on January 24, 2018.

This year’s crop of games includes plenty of familiar titles. Horizon Zero Dawn, Neir Automata, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are among the games in the mix for Best Game of the Year.

In the category of Best Indie Game there are nods for Cuphead, What Remains of Edith Finch, and Pyre. And nominees for Best Mobile Game include quiz show phenomenon HQ Trivia, Nintendo’s Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, and the moving Bury Me, My Love.

This year’s recipient of the Andrew Yoon Legend Award will be Bethesda’s Todd Howard, who is acknowledged for his work on the popular Fallout and Elder Scrolls, as well has his creativity and commitment to the games industry.

Here is the full lineup of nominees. Also worth noting are the category sponsors. Way to go, Herman.
