Here’s your weekly round-up of Nintendo eShop releases for Wii U and 3DS.
The 1995 SNES adventure game, Castlevania Dracula X, is probably the highlight of this week’s Nintendo eShop line-up. The game casts the player as Richter Belmont, son of Simon, and features the franchise’s trademark combination of platforming, combat and exploration.
It’s certainly not the best game in the series – being a curious port of the PC Engine’s Rondo of Blood – but its arrival means there are now a nine Castlevania titles available across Wii U and 3DS. Great news for fans of the series, so let’s hope we won’t have to buy them all over again on Nintendo Switch,
Also released this week is the 3DS animation app, Butterfly: Inchworm Animation II. Two you say? The first game was a robust suite of animation tools and an unexpected early delight on the 3DS eShop. Flat Black Films’ follow-up, which was released in the US last year, includes a number of new tools and features. Now if only they’d do something about the name.
If you are looking for something new to play on Wii U this week, you’ll have just have to keep looking.
