Here’s the lowdown on this week’s Nintendo eShop releases for the Nintendo Switch, 3DS and Wii U.
Take a look at the list below. There might be 13 games on it, but there’s probably only one that you’re interested in.
Super Mario Odyssey is the most important Switch release since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Nintendo’s biggest release of 2017. If the game manages to meet our stupidly high expectations it will cap (forgive the pun) a remarkable year for Nintendo.
But let’s not forget some of the other games coming to the eShop this week. One title certainly worth a look is Weappy Studio’s real-time crime strategy game, This is the Police. And if you prefer your video game platforming to be of a two-dimensional flavour, Splashteam’s Splasher also comes highly recommended.
It’s also interesting to note that the Nintendo Switch edition of Just Dance 2018 costs £10 more than its Wii U counterpart, yet another game to fall foul of the ‘game card tax’.
