Dark Light

Here’s the list of games released this week on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch, 3DS, and Wii U.

This week the Nintendo eShop sees the return of a classic in the shape of Blaster Master Zero, which comes to Nintendo Switch and 3DS. The game is the latest in a long line of – mostly patchy – sequels to the 1988 NES action game, Blaster Master.

Developed by Inti Creates, Blaster Master Zero uses the Sunsoft original as its base and builds on the game’s classic, top-down, side-on action formula. Previews from Japan, where it was released last week, bode well.

Over on 3DS, Super Mario and friends return in a new sports compilation, Mario Sports Superstars. The game includes full-featured versions of football, tennis, golf, baseball and horse-racing, plus a full suite of single-player tournaments and multiplayer modes. The game is also compatible with a new range of Mario Sports Superstars amiibo cards that boost skills and unlock more powerful versions of each character.
