Guacamelee! 2 is the pick of this week’s eShop video game releases for the Nintendo Switch.
DrinkBox Studios’ metroidvania sequel, Guacamelee! 2, is our eShop highlight this week. Juan Aguacate, returns in another accomplished game that mixes platforming, exploration, and combat with aplomb. The game is already available on PlayStation 4, and comes to Xbox One next month.
Also released this week is Nomada Studio’s eye-catching platformer, Gris, and Oscar Brittain’s promising Desert Child, a hover-bike racing game that also tells a rags-to-riches science fiction story.
Retro gaming fans can look forward to classic Sega RPG, Phantasy Star, which comes to Switch as part of the Sega Ages range, and three more NES titles for the Nintendo Switch Online library.
