Nintendo’s latest financial report reveals the Switch has reached more than 107 million units sold and is closing in on the Game Boy.
That number includes total sales of the original Nintendo Switch console, plus the Lite and OLED model variants. A total of 23.06 million systems were sold in the last financial year, lower than forecast due to the ongoing impact of COVID and the global semi-conductor shortage.
Nintendo has also lowered its sales forecast for the year ahead for the same reasons. Nonetheless, the company hopes to sell another 21 million consoles in the fiscal year to next March.
Sales of another 11 million units will take the Switch past the Game Boy and make it Nintendo’s second best-selling system ever.
