Pokémon Unite and Cris Tales headline this week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch eShop releases.
It’s fair to say that last year’s reveal of Pokémon Unite didn’t excite some fans. Those with an unwarranted sense of entitlement for the most part. Nonetheless, we’re sure they will be checking out this new MOBA from TiMi Studios when it releases on Wednesday.
Pokémon Unite doesn’t appear to be an innovative entry in its genre, but it’s likely to find an audience despite the initial outcry. Player feedback from the recent network test beta has been cautiously optimistic.
Our Nintendo Switch pick of the week is Cris Tales, the anticipated new action RPG from Dreams Uncorporated/Syck. If you have played the free eShop demo, you’ll know that it’s an attractive game with an engaging story that taps into the studio’s Colombian heritage. The game’s energetic combat and time manipulation mechanics make this a summer Switch highlight.
Other new Nintendo Switch releases include Cotton Reboot, Fatal Twelve, and Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed.
Here is the complete list of upcoming Switch games. We’ll update this post throughout the week with any late additions.
