But can it run Crysis? The Nintendo Switch can. Sort of. Here is this week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch eShop releases.

Crysis Remastered is the latest in a long line of technically demanding games to be ported to the Switch. The game’s recent trailer was impressive enough, but can a dialled-back 30FPS 720p port really be deemed a remaster? Maybe not, but if it runs well enough, the prospect of handheld play might tempt us back to the Lingshan Islands.

One new game that should be equally impressive either on TV or in your hands is Carrion from Phobia Games Studio. It’s an exquisitely animated reverse horror game in which you control an amorphous beastie trapped in a strange facility.

Ace Team’s humorous tower defence action series also returns with Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break. This time around, players can create and edit levels to share online.

And puzzle fans should definitely take a look at Creaks. The latest game from Amanita Design follows in the footsteps of Samorost and Machinarium with intricate hand-drawn visuals, and a subtle, melancholic narrative.

Other new Nintendo Switch games include Aeolis TournamentMittelborg: City of Mages, and Rainswept.

We’ll update this post with any late additions throughout the week. In the meantime, here is the confirmed lineup of new Nintendo eShop releases.
