This week’s lineup of Nintendo Switch eShop releases includes a whole bunch of games, but are any of them good?
There are 30-ish games released on the Nintendo eShop this week. “Ish” because some of them are regional and some of them are not 100% confirmed, but those oddities are the biggest games of the week, so we’ll start there all the same.
WRC 10 comes to Nintendo Switch in North America on Tuesday, having released in the rest of the world a fortnight ago. It’s a strong port and easily one of the best serious rallying games to come to Nintendo Switch, so well worth a look.
The other biggun is Cricket 22. Already delayed from January, it’s to be confirmed whether that will actually release this week, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Take Off: The Flight Simulator is a port of an ageing PC and mobile game that has its fans. Likewise, Flat Kingdom and Super Cyborg are new console ports of games that have built up a decent little fanbase on PC over the past half a dozen years.
Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between looks to be another indie highlight, though it’s hard to explain exactly what this one is? It’s a game about finding stories in the liminal spaces on journeys; a late night drive, a deserted airport, an empty train carriage. Surreal, wonderful, weird, and just a bit thought-provoking.
